Bot Oberflãchentechnik GmbH, based in Kulmbach, has more than 50 years of experience in dip coating, high-quality surface finish and corrosion protection. Bot is therefore one of the leading companies in Europe in the coating of large-volume but also smaller workpieces.

The origins of the company even go back up to the year 1917, when Wenzel Galler founded an founded a electroplating wholesale in Detzenbodenbach in the Sudentenland. In 1945 his son Robert Galler moved to Kulmbach in Bavaria and continued to lead the emerging operation, which now also engaged strongly in the steel and sheet metal production. The trained chemist Bruno Galler joined his father's company in 1955 and laid the foundation for the ensuing successful development of the company.

The surfaces of the steel and sheet metal products have been treated since the mid 60s with the anodic dip coating (ADC) developed by Ford in America which made us the first user in Europe, outside the automotive industry.

In 1993 - the company entered a new era with the completion of the pre-treatment, CDC and powder coating line. Until this day BOT owns one of the largest and most modern CDC-plants in Europe: Here work pieces with a size up to 12,200 x 700 x 2,300 mm (L x W x H) and 2 to effective weight can be coated consistently and fully automatic. The conveyor-powder lacquering system even allows workpieces up to a width of 1,500 mm.

After the departure of family Galler and the renaming of the suface activities into the BOT Oberflãchentechnik GmbH we are focusing today more than ever on the requirements and needs of more diverse contract coating and corrosion protection customers. These include manufacturers of gardening tools, producers of agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles, general steel constructors as well as companies in the chemical and process industries.

Thanks to the innovative plant concept and control our services can be combined differently, individually and repeatly executed. The result is for you as a customer always a special cost cost benefit advantage, while at the same time complying with stringent quality requirements.

With OR 6000^® a new era in the anti-corrosion protection begins. For several years, BOT has developed a new, fully automated coating process in which varying doses of chemicals and their exact tempering, the dwell time and movements of the workpieces in the chemicals and paint vats, etc. are precisely analyzed and co-ordinated. The results are world records in the industrial anti-corrosion treatment and open up completely new areas of application and customers for the company BOT.
